Walk in the Park

Morning December 9th, 2005. Blizzard / No one out - I bunddled up at my apartment on MacDougal St. and walked one block north to Washington Square Park. The snow was falling in chuncks. Took' two' exposers with Hasselblad & 100mm.

Once upon a time......
There was this park plaza down town. 35mm Contax.

Waited a month for this moon. 3 different Capital Hill Police came'n checked on me. Able to get 4 exposures. #3 police ousted me.
This shot, ought to be called, "Hay, you, obvious American photographer. You got a permit to take those photos.?"

Hasselblad, w/ 100mm lens. 18 sec. @ ƒ22. /30 second exposure

… it was said that Abraham Lincoln liked to look up and see the newly completed Capital building in the night sky. It really is quite moving on a quiet night.

Northern New York near the Canadian boarder. 35mm, Canon F1.

GA room I always loved, when I came from Tokyo to NYC at the Gramercy Park Hotel, looking South over Gramercy Park and down Irving Place. 'Heavy Rain'.
35mm, Contax.

Info I have found;.
In 1983, for the 50th anniversary of the film, an inflatable King Kong was placed on the Empire State Building. However, a mouse chewed through it over night, partially deflating the ape. He also needed a constant supply of air, and was never fully inflated.

UP IN THE SHY, ITS A BIRD. ITS A PLANE. NO, ITS A FALLING 67 FOOT GORRILLA

My View;..... In the early 1980's while leaving a fashion shoot, I was crossing between 7th & 8th Ave. on 34th. St.. Facing East. I had my Hassel and 150mm with me. some odd person had a blow up King Kong on the top of the Empire State Building. It was a failure. It seem like he was coming or going, inflation wise. Well you don’t see that everyday.
